Information

Fishing is not permitted anywhere on the river without the appropriate licence and permit.

Please keep well away from fishermen and their lines as you canoe downstream.

Please be as quiet as possible. Do not disturb wildlife. Do not spoil the enjoyment of other river users.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control and not allowed to run across fields or disturb farm stock or wildlife.

Keep your dog on a lead when not in the canoe and please 'clean up' after your dog.

Dogs can cause a canoe to capsize but, if you are prepared to take that risk, we are prepared to accept your well behaved dog.

Remember the 'Countryside Code' and take your rubbish home with you or bring it back and we will dispose of it. Do not leave it on the river bank or in the river.

Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet in together with old trainers, sandals or 'crocs' - NO WELLINGTONS.

Don't forget to bring a change of clothing in case you get wet.

Remember your hat and sun-cream if it is sunny.

Take snacks and drink to have on the way downstream. (Barrels provided).
